Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) announced it officially renamed Manipal Hospitals Klang to Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre (BTMC).
The award-winning international healthcare provider had acquired 100% ownership of Manipal Hospitals, Klang early this year.
In a statement, the award-winning international healthcare provider said the rebranding of the 220-bed hospital reflects the group’s business strategy of distinguishing its internationally-certified hospitals according to their locations.
Peter Hong, acting Group CEO of RSDH, said the rebranding effort according to the neighbourhood it exists in not only creates a distinctive identity but also helps the facilities remain connected to the community it serves.
“Through the rebranding exercise, we expect to instil the RSDH culture and philosophy of ‘People Caring for People’ into what is already a superior hospital to enhance the patient experience,” he said.
Hong said the group has also been investing in technological innovations for close to a decade and has one of the most comprehensive electronic medical records systems amongst hospitals in the country, and added that the same level of digitalization will be injected into Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre in the months ahead.
Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre chief executive officer Jasmine Lau said, “As an established medical facility of repute in Klang, BTMC can now further benefit from being a part of the RSDH group by leveraging expertise and operational support that will enhance our service delivery as we move forward.”
She said the hospital, which celebrates its 5th anniversary this year, stands to benefit from RSDH’s reputation for award-winning facilities which have also earned the prestigious global ‘gold standard’ in healthcare accreditation from the Joint Commission International.
Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre marks RSDH’s fourth healthcare facility in the country, in addition to Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Ara Damansara Medical Centre and ParkCity Medical Centre.
