SOFIA – Thalia Thin, 21, a student from Selangor state, Malaysia won the Super Model Universe 2019 champion title in the pageant grand finals held in Sofia, Bulgaria
In a historic first, Thalia Thin Yi En 21, a student from Selangor state, Malaysia won the Super Model Universe 2019 champion title in the pageant grand finals held in Sofia, Bulgaria on September 19, 2019.
Thalia Thin beat off other hopefuls from all over the world, including from Macedonia, India, Estonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Ukraine, Netherlands, Montenegro, Benelux and Eastern Europe.
The victory was made even sweeter by another Malaysian Partiban A/L Vijayanathan, 28, an engineer from Skudai, Johor state, who captured the second runner-up honours for the male category.
Super Model Universe Malaysia national director Ammetta Malhotra who was with Thalia and Partiban throughout their journey in Bulgaria was ecstatic.
“Malaysia participated the first time and won.
“I cannot describe the pride and joy I felt for Thalia and Partiban and for Malaysia when our country was announced not once but twice during the top three announcement.
“Thalia Thin and Partiban make Malaysia proud by winning two international top three titles. Malaysia truly Boleh!” shesaid.
Ammetta Malhotra who is the reigning Mrs.Universe Classisc 2019 said Malaysia now will get the rights to be the host country for Super Model Universe 2020 Pageant.
“All international registrations will have to go through the franchise owners Megi Savavo and Sava Tsekov. Malaysia looks forward to showcasing the best that we have to offer in terms of history, sight seeing, fashion, beauty and entertainment,” she said.
