Luwe Xin Hui, a 23-year-old digital creator from Malacca, has been crowned ATV Miss Asia Malaysia 2023.
The 158 cm (5’ 2”) tall winner beat 14 other contestants to win the crown.
Organised by Hong Kong-based beauty pageant ATV Miss Asia Pageant (ATV 亞洲小姐競選), the 34th edition of the Malaysia final was held at the Banquet Hall, Fairy Park Heritage City, Setia Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor on Sept 24.
Luwe will represent Malaysia at the ATV Miss Asia International 2023 finals, scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China at the end of the year.
She won RM30,000 in cash and a Picasso Residence condominium unit in Kuala Lumpur, worth RM1,480,000.
Luwe graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Bachelor of Accounting and Finance in 2022.
Lyla Ung Hei Ling, 24, an eyelash stylist from Sarawak, took the first runner-up spot, while Joey Lee Cheng Man, 27, a chemical engineer from Selangor, emerged as the second runner-up.
A total of six subsidiary titles were also presented to the participants.
The star-studded judging panel for the finals featured Miss Asia Pageant 1991 Candy Lo (from Hong Kong), Miss Asia Pageant 1985 Eva Lai (from Hong Kong), Miss Astro Chinese International 2000 first runner-up Lyynn Lim, Miss Chinese International 2015 Top 5 finalist Anjoe Koh, fashion designer Brian Khoo, actress-model Yumi Wong, actor William San and Asia Television Holdings Limited (Hong Kong) executive director Leong Wei Ping.
