After years of hard work refining his ideas and concepts, singer Luqman Podolski can finally breathe a sigh of relief as his debut EP, ‘Kau Apa Sebenarnya?’, was officially released on Jan 24, 2025.
Describing the EP as a milestone in his musical journey, the 27-year-old singer explored new elements to satisfy fans eagerly awaiting his latest work.
“I’ve been collecting a lot of song materials since my early days. Some have already been released, while others were kept until the right time to share with listeners. After working tirelessly on these songs and discussing with Warner Music Malaysia, we finally selected the tracks that made it into ‘Kau Apa Sebenarnya?’,” he said.
The album comprises six songs – ‘Tak Sedar Diri’, ‘Salahkah Aku?’, ‘Tiba-Tiba’, ‘Aku Dah Tak Percaya’, ‘Rahsia’ and ‘M***’.
One of the most special tracks ‘Aku Dah Tak Percaya’, marked Luqman’s first collaboration with Zynakal, after previously searching for the right artiste to work with.
Luqman revealed that ‘Aku Dah Tak Percaya’ was an interesting experience because he had offered the demo to several fellow singers before, but none responded.
“I had given them the demo, but I didn’t receive any response. Maybe they felt the song wasn’t suitable for them, or they were late in making a decision.
“I’m grateful to Zynakal for agreeing to collaborate, as we both felt that this song was a perfect fit for us,” said Luqman, who is signed under Warner Music Malaysia.
Luqman also actually made the dreams of most fans come true when he finished the song ‘M***’ in this EP. The song, which has been produced since 2016, was originally just a song for social media content only.
Made for one minute at the time, many people liked it and no less expected a full version of the song to be produced.
“In order to fulfil my listener’s dream, I finally completed ‘M***’. I hope they enjoy the full version and continue to support this entire EP,” he said at the listening party for EP ‘Kau Apa Sebenarnya?’ recently.
At the exclusive event, over 100 lucky fans attended to hear Luqman perform several tracks from the EP, besides being involved in side events for them.
