Kuala Lumpur gears up to host the region’s biggest male pageant – Mr Nusantara this May 29

International talent and event agency Beam Artistes has unveiled the inaugural edition of the region’s biggest pageant for men, the Mr Nusantara, with a press conference and sashing ceremony held at the Sungei Wang Plaza concourse, Kuala Lumpur on May 26.

The competition aims to bring together contestants from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia a platform to  celebrate the shared heritage, style and talent of the region.

This one-of-a-kind event will be held this May with three simultaneous national finals taking place at the Galaxy Banquet Hall in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur on May 29.

For the first time, 36 contestants from the three neighboring nations in the Nusantara (Malay Archipelago) will compete on the same stage, vying for both national and regional glory.

Malaysia and Singapore will be represented by 15 contestants each, while Indonesia will see the participation of six delegates. According to the organisers of Mr Nusantara, the small number of delegates from Indonesia was due to some dissatisfaction regarding contestant fees.

Samuel Seow, the chief executive officer of Beam Artistes and founder of Mr Nusantara stated during the event: “Mr Nusantara is more than just a competition – it is a celebration of shared heritage and unity across the region.

“We are thrilled to bring together these three countries in a single spectacular event, showcasing the pride, talent and spirit of the Malay Archipelago”.

He added: “Just as the region has faced significant challenges in the past, the first Mr Nusantara has also faced and braved its challenges.”

The competition’s pageant week begins from May 26 will full of activities leading up to grand finals on May 29.

Three national titleholders will be crowned – Mr Singapore Nusantara 2025, Mr Indonesia Nusantara 2025 and Mr Malaysia Nusantara 2025.

These three titleholders will battle for the coveted title of Mr Nusantara to be decided by online voting, making this the first pageant of its kind to fully empower fans in shaping the final outcome.

The Mr Nusantara champion will take home a prize package worth USD 80, 000 in cash and prizes, including a brand-new car.

The organisers also announced that Malaysian girl group Dolla will be performing during the grand finals.
