Kuala Lumpur City to play Perak in Federal Territories Minister’s Cup 2023

In conjunction with the Federal Territory Day 2023 celebrations, Kuala Lumpur City FC, Asia’s second-best team in the AFC Cup last year, will be organizing the Federal Territories Minister’s Cup for the third time running at Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras on Feb 4, 2023.

For this year’s edition, KL City will be hosting a rejuvenated Perak side, led by head coach Datuk Lim Teong Kim.

The match at 9.00 pm, may also see Kuala Lumpur City parading their new signings, Herlison Caion, Tchetche Kipre, Patrick Reichelt, Sebastian Avanzini, Matko Zirdum, Nazirul Naim and Sean Giannelli, in a bid to regain the trophy.

First held in 2021, KL City was crowned as inaugural winner, edging Selangor on penalties following a scoreless draw. The following year, the coveted trophy was awarded to Seremban in a 2-0 victory over KL City.

Away from the pitch, the action is set to be even grander than ever, with performances by artiste Dasha Logan, Selayang Hong Teck Sports Association Lion Dance acrobatic troupe, a showcase of exotic four-wheelers by Supercargang and HNDRD’s sale of the Insta-famous City Boys t-shirt.

Several food and beverage operators would be present to offer a variety of fast food and quick bites.

KL City’s new corporate social responsibility partner MAAedicare Charitable Foundation will be providing free essential health screening vouchers to the first 500 fans who purchase tickets to this match.

In addition, all match attendees may choose to receive free SIMpacks by Onexox worth RM10, inclusive of RM5 credit and 18GB of data.

Tickets, priced at RM1 per pax, are available at ticket counter B, Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium on matchday Feb 4 from 10am onwards.

For fans who cannot attend, Astro will be broadcasting this match live over their Astro Arena network on channel 801 from 9pm.
