K Plus Food Market was launched as an initiative by K-Eco Mart (M) Sdn. Bhd to connect the cultural bridge between Malaysia and Korea alongside promoting cross-cultural tourism between the two nations, as the demand for Korean products has been continuously rising due to the influence of Korean pop culture on Malaysians.

K-Eco Mart chairman Datuk Matthew Lew said, “Malaysia has always been a country that welcomes and respects culture, and to me, that is what makes our nation so special. It is a great honor for me to be able to bridge Korea and Malaysia through K Plus Food Market and meet consumers’ growing demand with the products of the highest quality and authenticity.

“I look forward to providing my fellow Malaysians with an all-inclusive platform to satisfy all of your Korean needs, with the launch of K Plus Food Market.”

He added, “Through the K PLUS Food Market, this marks K-Eco Mart’s effort in empowering Malaysia and Korea together alongside promoting Malaysia as a nation that is driven towards solidifying a friendship between nations through cross-cultural tourism and innovation.”

K-Eco Market is ecstatic to welcome local and foreign visitors to K Plus Food Market where Korean pop culture fans and K-enthusiasts can now get their hands on their favorite as-seen-on-tv items at shelves near them.

“Standing here today and seeing this new establishment, I believe that this proves how South Korea and Malaysia are dedicated to empowering each other and I am excited for both nations to continue taking tremendous strides forward in the future,” said The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia counsellor Im Chae Wook.
