Kool Grill, a newly opened barbecue-meets-local concept restaurant at Genting Skyworlds offers a unique dining ambience with an East-meets-West fusion of food.
Strategically located at the entrance of the outdoor theme park, the restaurant exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere with white interiors and furnishings, and a vibrant dining space for small groups and families.
As the name suggests, many menu items at Kool Grill are barbecue or grill-based. The restaurant anchors upon the concept of modernizing the experience of local favourites, reconstructing hawker staples to offer a unique take on some of Malaysia’s most loved flavours and dishes.
Spearheaded by Executive Chef Muhamad Muhader Wahi Anour (Chef Aidil), Kool Grill currently offers eight delectable dishes, a unique blend of East and West fusion menu items to satisfy park goers’ appetite for value-for-money bites.
Chef Aidil has carefully deconstructed traditional flavours to focus on taste profiles which he then pairs with Western elements to present a modern East-West combination.
The restaurant’s menu creations include the signature Nasi Lemak BBQ Chicken Pizza, featuring shrimp in spicy chili paste, BBQ chicken sausage and coconut rice; BBQ Satay Sausage Chicken, a juicy chicken sausage grilled with a smoky BBQ glaze and served with peanut sauce; and Smoky Cayenne Pulled Beef on Black Brioche, a tender pulled beef sandwish with smoky BBQ flavour and a hint of cayenne pepper.
Other classics include Wok-fried Honey BBQ Chicken Drumettes; Kung Pao Flavour Bombs which are perfectly deep-fried seafood dumplings served with spicy kung pao sauce; Tandoori Magic with Flat Bread, featuring smoked tandoori chicken and cucumber salad or the Korean Ssamjang Beef BBQ Pie which spotlights tender beef with rich ssamjang sauce in a savoury pie topped with melted cheese; and Satay BBQ Chicken Pizza, a tender chicken marinated with satay spices and peanut sauce and topped with cucumber slices, anchovies and cheese.
All dishes are Muslim-friendly and made in-house.
Kool Grill is open daily from 10am till 6pm daily, with extended hours till 11pm from Jan 28 till Feb 16, 2025 during the CNY in the Sky campaign.
