The 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024, Malaysia’s premier automotive exhibition, takes place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur from Dec 5-11, 2024.
Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), KLIMS 2024 is set to showcasing cutting-edge innovations in sustainability, electrification and autonomous mobility under the theme “Beyond Mobility.”
The event was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, on Dec 4.
Fadillah emphasised in his speech the vital role of KLIMS in driving Malaysia’s green and innovative future.
“As we look to the future, I am confident that Malaysia has the potential to become a regional hub for electric vehicle production and innovation.
“With initiatives like the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), the development of 3,171 EV charging stations nationwide, and full exemptions on import, excise, and sales duties for EVs, we are paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
“Events like KLIMS are crucial in accelerating this vision, bringing together stakeholders from around the world to collaborate and create solutions that benefit everyone. Let us remember that the responsibility for creating a sustainable future lies with all of us, and together, we can move Malaysia beyond mobility,” he said.
MAA president and KLIMS 2024 organising committee chairman Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain also spoke about the event’s significance,
“KLIMS 2024 represents more than just an automotive exhibition—it is a testament to the automotive industry’s resilience, adaptability, and forward-thinking. This year’s theme, ‘Beyond Mobility,’ reflects our commitment to advancing Malaysia’s transition to sustainable transportation and strengthening our position as a regional automotive leader,” he said.
