Kaspersky unveils new flagship product line for businesses in Malaysia: Kaspersky Next

Kaspersky has introduced its new flagship product line ‘Kaspersky Next’ to provide robust endpoint protection, combining the transparency and speed of EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) with the visibility and powerful tools of XDR (Extended Detection and Response).

The Kaspersky Next launch was held at Element Kuala Lumpur on June 26, 2024.

The new product line is available in three tiers tailored to different business requirements, the complexity of IT infrastructure and availability of resources.

Yeo Siang Tiong, the general manager for Southeast Asia at Kaspersky said during the launch event that it is vital for companies to have a comprehensive cybersecurity solution they can trust and rely on for effective protection in a constantly evolving cyberthreat landscape.

The Cyber Incident Quarterly Summary Report – Q1 2024 by Malaysia Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) and CyberSecurity Malaysia reported that the number of cyber incidents reported to Cyber999 rose by 1% in Q1 2024 of 1,555 incidents compared to Q4 2023 at 1,536 incidents. Fraudulent activities topped the list of reported incidents, followed by data breaches and attempted intrusions.
