A marketing director at Mermaid Agency providing domestic maid and foreign workers services has won the Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2024 title.
Joevy Chua, 35, a mother of four kids, beat 13 other contestants at the Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2024 final held at Galaxy Banquet Hall, HGH Convention Centre Sentul in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 13.
In addition, Chua, who is from Batu Pahat, Johor and now resides in Puchong, Selangor, also won the Most Confident subsidiary title.
She will represent Malaysia at the Mrs Tourism Queen International 2024 grand final, expected to be on June this year at Bangkok, Thailand.
The pageant for married women is divided into two categories – Mrs Malaysia (age 25 to 40), and Mrs Elite Malaysia (age 41 & above).
In the Mrs Elite category, Debbie Lee, 48, a personal assistant from Kuala Lumpur, was named Mrs Elite Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2024.
Lee also won the Most Potential and Best Skin subsidiary titles.
The panel of judges included the general manager of ERM Marketing Sdn Bhd Alina Wang, Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2023 and Mrs Global Tourism 2023 Sangeet Gill, Mrs Malaysia Planet 2021 and Mrs Planet Continental 2022 Dr. Sudhashini Nair and Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen of 2019 and Mrs Tourism Queen of Asia 2019 Milky Tan.
The red-carpet event was organised by Yinzi Event & Marketing founder Madam Lim Siew Cheng.
