The highly anticipated Miss Asia and Mr Asia (Southeast Asia) 2024 pageant has successfully concluded with the announcement of the champions and runners-up.
Organised by Asia Television Limited (ATV) of Hong Kong, the prestigious beauty competition final was held on Sept 7, 2024, at the Grand Ballroom, Fairy Park Heritage City, Setia Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Contestants from seven Southeast Asian countries competed in the pageant, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar and host Malaysia.
Janice Chian Yan Tong, 24, from Ipoh, Malaysia was crowned Miss Asia Pageant (Southeast Asia) 2024.
In the Mr Asia contest, Vincent Chye Chia Yun, a 24-year-old chiropractor, from Subang Jaya, Malaysia, won the title of Mr Asia 2024 (Southeast Asia).
Chian, standing at 171 cm (5’ 8”), triumphed over 16 other finalists to claim the top prize. She was awarded RM30,000 worth of prizes.
Chian studied laws at University of Leeds and is now reading the chambers.
Vincent Chye, who is 170 cm (5’ 7”) tall beat seven other contestants to the Mr Asia title. He also won the Mr Online Popularity subsidiary title.
Chye won RM15,000 worth of prizes for the champion title and another RM1,888 for the Online Popularity award.
Chye was WNBF Fit Model 2023.
