The International Construction Week (ICW) & BuildXpo Malaysia 2026 returns this November 10-12, themed “Beyond Limits,” reflecting the construction industry’s drive to push boundaries through innovation, digitalisation and strategic collaboration.
The flagship event will take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), Kuala Lumpur, while ICW Borneo 2026 will be held earlier from May 12 to 13, 2026 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Hosted by the Works Ministry and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Qube), ICW & BuildXpo continues to serve as one of the region’s most established platforms for knowledge exchange, industry engagement and business collaboration within the built environment ecosystem.

Officiating the soft launch, Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan emphasised the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future of construction.
He said the International Construction Week has been a premier annual platform for the construction industry since its inception in 1999.
“Over the years, it has grown into a key meeting point for industry players in Malaysia and across the region to showcase innovations, exchange knowledge, and explore emerging opportunities.
“It calls on the industry to embrace new technologies, smarter infrastructure solutions, and deeper technical knowledge exchange – all of which are essential in driving a resilient and sustainable future for the built environment,” he said.
The 2026 theme aligns with the sector’s ongoing evolution – from digital construction technologies and sustainable materials to smarter infrastructure delivery and stronger regional partnerships – all essential to building a resilient and future-ready built environment.
A key highlight for 2026 is the strategic collaboration between CIDB Malaysia, Qube, and MMI Asia, bringing together complementary exhibitions to enhance industry value.
For the first time, Glasstech Asia & Fenestration Asia (GAFA) will be co-located with ICW & BuildXpo 2026 at Mitec, .
This integrated platform will enable industry players to explore innovations across construction technologies, façade systems, glass applications and sustainable building solutions under one roof.

Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd executive chairman Richard Teo said over the years, ICW & BuildXpo have grown beyond being an exhibition or conference to become a pivotal hub for industry collaboration.
“As we move towards ICW & BuildXpo 2026 under the theme ‘Beyond Limits’, our focus remains clear – to continuously elevate the platform so that it delivers tangible value to the industry, supports innovation adoption, and strengthens regional connectivity across ASEAN and beyond,” he said.

Meanwhile MMI Asia Private Limited chief executive officer Michael Wilton said GAFA has developed a strong regional presence through editions across Southeast Asia, providing industry professionals to connect, exchange ideas and strengthen the regional glass and façade sector.
“By joining ICW & BuildXpo (this year), GAFA will be part of a unified platform where industry expertise, project development, and sector innovation converge. This integrated approach strengthens collaboration, promotes knowledge exchange across disciplines, and reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of the modern construction industry,” he said.
Following the successful inaugural Borneo edition last year, ICW Borneo 2026 will be hosted in Sabah, continuing efforts to strengthen engagement with East Malaysia’s construction ecosystem.
The event will highlight regional infrastructure development, sustainable construction practices and opportunities for collaboration across Malaysia’s diverse construction landscape.
