Subang Jaya- Haaraneei, 21, a university student from Shah Alam also succeeded to win the Best in Swim Wear subsidiary title
Haaraneei MK has been crowned the first queen of Miss Grand Selangor 2019.
Beaming with joy, Haaraneei, 21, a university student, received the crown from Miss Grand Malaysia 2018 Debra Jeanne Poh.
The 170 cm (5’ 6.9”) tall lass from Shah Alam beat 13 other contestants to clinch the title in a colourful event at Empire Hotel, Subang Jaya on 24th February 2019.
Haaraneei also succeeded to win the Best in Swim Wear subsidiary title.
Haaraneei took home a prize package, including cash, worth a total of RM7,888.00
Winning Miss Grand Selangor is a great achievement for Haaraneei as she was previously chosen as a finalist for Miss Grand Malaysia 2017 and Miss Indian Cultural Malaysia 2016.
Haaraneei enjoys hobbies such as dancing and singing.
Simona Boonratana came in first runner-up, while Lishalliny came second runner-up. Elina Nasution and Kasin Nawarat were named third and fourth runner-ups respectively.
The champion and first runner-up will get to represent Selangor at the upcoming Miss Grand Malaysia national finals in Miri, Sarawak on 28th April 2019.
Miss Grand Selangor state director Samuel said the pageant aimed to empower Malaysian women and enable them to pave the way for a safer, supportive, accepting and respectful society through its ‘Stop Violence Against Women’ campaign.
