Global cheesecake brand Kumo Kumo officially launches its first store in Malaysia

Kumo Kumo, the international dessert brand known for its soft, cloud-like Japanese cheesecakes, has officially opened its first store in Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid, Bandar Sunway in Subang Jaya on Dec 6, 2025.

Following a successful one-month soft launch, the store has already attracted high foot traffic and social media buzz from families, students and young professionals.

The grand opening event featured Malaysian singer Sam CN, one-half of the popular duo FS (Fuying & Sam), to serve as guest store manager for one day, bringing excitement and elevating brand engagement for Kumo Kumo.

Every freshly baked cheesecake is marked with Kumo Kumo’s iconic golden handbell ring, a simple yet memorable ritual symbolising the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, freshness and joyful experiences.

The grand opening celebration featured baking demonstrations, customer interaction activities and a special hot-stamp session for freshly made cheesecakes.

With enthusiastic customer feedback and strong demand, Kumo Kumo has confirmed two more stores opening soon in Malaysia: Genting SkyAvenue and IOI City Mall Putrajaya, marking a new phase in its retail expansion across Malaysia.
