
In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, Giant Bandar Kinrara, under the management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, successfully hosted a festive Yee Sang tossing ceremony on February 5, 2026.
The event brought together community leaders, government representatives, business partners, media and stakeholders to usher in the Year of the Horse with hopes of prosperity, harmony and continued collaboration.

In her opening address, GCH Retail Malaysia’s head of leasing and business development Rebecca Phan shared that the Yee Sang ceremony represents shared aspirations for growth and success.
“Beyond celebrating tradition, today’s event reflects our belief in unity, collaboration and shared prosperity.
“At Giant Bandar Kinrara, we look forward to working closely with our stakeholders, partners, and the local community to create meaningful engagements and long-term value,” she said.

The ceremony was graced by Bandar Kinrara Community Service Centre special officer Rachel Lee, Subang Jaya city councillors (MBSJ) Lee Jen Uyin (zone 16), Ng Seow Chen (zone 10), Mehanatan Embamurthi (zone 18) and Afiq Aziz, policy advisor to Selangor Investment, Trade and Mobility Exco.
Also present were GCH Retail Malaysia senior management, Giant Bandar Kinrara management team, media representatives and business partners.

The event symbolised more than a traditional celebration, it reflected Giant Bandar Kinrara’s commitment to fostering strong relationships within the community while strengthening partnerships that contribute to a vibrant and sustainable retail ecosystem.

The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks, followed by a vibrant drum performance that set an auspicious tone for the celebration.
This was followed by an opening address from the management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a group photo session with honoured guests and stakeholders, and the highlight of the event – the Yee Sang tossing ceremony, symbolising prosperity, unity and shared success.

The celebration concluded with an acrobatic lion dance performance featuring a horse mascot, adding to the festive atmosphere and making a positive start to the Year of the Horse ahead at Giant Bandar Kinrara.
