Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger (FIUR), the viral fried rice restaurant brand by renowned comedian Nigel Ng, opened its second Selangor outlet at Central i-City Shopping Centre, Shah Alam on Jan 11, 2025.
The opening ceremony was graced by Bandar Baru Klang state assemblyman Dr Quah Perng Fei, alongside key figures including Central Pattana Thailand regional general manager Shun Wong, Central i-City marketing head Alfred Chua, UR Restaurants chief operating officer Lim Su Yi, Dato’ David Liew and Nigel Ng himself.
The Malaysian-born comedian, better known as Uncle Roger, was present to commemorate this milestone, which marks the brand’s fourth outlet in Malaysia following successful launches at Pavilion Elite and MyTOWN Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur and IPC Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The restaurant chain has also announced plans for expansion to KLIA2 and Johor Bahru.
“The response to Fuiyoh! has been amazing, and I’m truly excited to bring our unique flavours to Shah Alam. It’s near Klang so I’ll get some fried rice and then stop by for bak kut teh after!” said Nigel Ng.
UR Restaurants chief operating officer Lim Su Yi said the expansion underscores their commitment to making the Uncle Roger’s fried rice accessible to more Malaysians.
“When people walk into our restaurants, they’re not just getting a meal – they’re getting a taste of the fun and humour that Uncle Roger stands for,” she said.
