The nationwide 2025 Festival Cita Rasa Warisan (Heritage Taste Festival) series is coming to a close with the final stop at Universiti Teknologi Mara, Penang branch, Permatang Pauh campus from Oct 7-9.
Penang is the fifth state to host the festival after Sabah (Aug 7-10), Kedah (July 31-Aug 3), Kelantan (Sept 5-7) and Kuala Lumpur (Sept 12-16).
Jointly organised by the Jabatan Warisan Negara (National Heritage Department) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), the Festival Cita Rasa Warisan @IPT themed “Aspirasi Belia” is a celebration of culture, cuisine and colours of the country’s heritage, and everyone is invited to join in the festivities.
Various exciting activities await visitors:
- Heritage food demonstration and sales
- Cooking with celebrities
- Heritage competition
- Knowledge sharing session
- Cultural and artiste performances
- Fun Run 5km (Oct 8, 2025)
- Interactive programs and exhibition
Admission to the Festival Cita Rasa Warisan @IPT is free, 9am – 10.30pm.
The Festival Cita Rasa Warisan is part of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture’s (Motac) initiative to promote, elevate and sustain heritage dishes, especially those recognised as national heritage under the National Heritage Act 2005 (Act 645).
