Federal Express Corp (FedEx) has been awarded the ‘Best in Community Engagement & Green Initiatives’ for its continuous effort in community engagement and responsible sustainable initiatives at the recent Sustainability and CSR Malaysia Awards 2024.

This is the first time the global express transportation company has received this award in this category after winning three consecutive times in the category of ‘Best in Community Engagement Support’.

FedEx Malaysia managing director Woon Tien Long said the recognition for the company’s CSR initiatives demonstrated its continuous commitment to nurturing the next generation and efforts towards environmental stewardship in Malaysia.

“This award goes to the FedEx team for their unwavering commitment and for going above and beyond to support the communities where we live and work.

“We continue to prioritize sustainability as a way to deliver a better future in Malaysia and around the globe,” he said.

FedEx received recognition for its CSR initiatives, including the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge, benefiting over 9,200 Malaysian students since 2008.

The award also acknowledges FedEx’s sustainability efforts, such as supporting urban community gardens and planting 100 tree seedlings. These initiatives are part of FedEx Cares, a global community engagement program underpinned by its cultural value of “Committing to Do Good”.
