Building on the phenomenal success of its first edition, Eastern & Oriental Berhad’s (E&O) FaLaLa 2.0 returns this festive season to Andaman Island, Penang, welcoming visitors to experience a spectacular Christmas celebration, packed with entertainment and activities for everyone.
The venue has been transformed into a Snowy Nutcracker Wonderland, a spellbinding holiday escape, complete with shimmering snowfall, enchanting music, hands-on workshops, captivating performances and a curated showcase of festive treasures.
Happening at the E&O Gallery on Andaman Island across two weekends, Dec 12 to 14 and Dec 19 to 21 from 4pm to 11pm, each day unveils new wonders to discover, from unique gifts and magical family moments to cozy corners filled with seasonal cheer.
When guests arrive, they will be welcomed by warm festive lighting, gentle snowfall and the signature Christmas tree, which was illuminated on the first night at 8pm on Dec 12 as part of the FaLaLa tradition.
Visitors can explore stalls offering artisanal crafts, festive treats and handmade gifts, while families enjoy the Kids’ Bumpy Ride playground and friends gather at the Bonfire S’mores corner.
Couples will be able to take relaxed strolls along the illuminated waterfront and pets will also be welcomed into this pet-friendly wonderland.
Visitors can participate in wreath-making, terrarium crafting, perfume blending, candy apple dipping and meringue decorating.
The Little Chef workshops continue to be a favourite, offering young bakers a joyful moment of independence and real-life skills in the kitchen.
There will be Christmas carols and lively entertainment with the Nutcracker ballet setting the festive mood.
The Treasure Hunt offers lighthearted fun for families and the K-Pop Dance Competition closes the final evening with beats and youthful energy, while the Drum Circle on Dec 20 adds a rhythmic element to the programme.
Santa’s nightly appearance continues to be the highlight for many families.
Eastern & Oriental Berhad executive chairman Dato’ Seri Tee Eng Ho said hosting FaLaLa 2.0 at the E&O Gallery on Andaman Island allows the group to present Penang’s most recognisable Christmas celebration in a setting that reflects the state’s continued growth and appeal.
“We hope to encourage more visitors to experience Penang during the festive season, and our aim is to offer a celebration that feels welcoming, enjoyable and memorable for both residents and travellers,” he said.
With its gentle snowing sessions, live music, make-a-wish moments beneath the Christmas tree, and the striking seascape of Andaman Island as its backdrop, FaLaLa 2.0 offers one of Penang’s most elegant and immersive festive environments.
