RC Raceway, the first indoor radio control (RC) carpet track in the country and Southeast Asia (SEA), has opened since September 2022 at X-Park Sunway Serene, Sungai Way Free Trade Industrial Zone, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
RC Raceway general manager Adrian Yew said the RC Raceway is Southeast Asia’s first indoor radio control carpet track and Malaysia’s premier and first indoor radio control carpet off-road track with a track side hobby shop.
“Racing is one aspect of RC cars that every owner looks forward to experience. It is one activity that most first-time owners look forward to because it’s an opportunity for you to push your car to the limit and put it to the test against other RC cars.
“For some RC hobbyists, nothing can come close to racing against a group of other drivers each week” he said at a media event on Oct 21.
Members of the media present had the opportunity to learn about building and understanding RC car and also abled to test it for the first time.
The dimension of the track is 110ft x 75ft meeting international racetrack standards.
The facilities include pit tables with a charging facility, driver’s stand and a track side hobby store of all RC needs.
“Apart from competitive racing events, we can also host kid’s program, product launches, birthday parties, school and corporate team building events,” added Yew.
Radio-controlled (RC) cars
RC cars are miniature model cars, vans, buses, trucks or buggies that can be controlled from a distance using a specialized transmitter. The term “RC” commonly used today refers only to vehicles controlled by radio.
Off-road RC cars
Off-road RC cars are designed to run on rough surfaces and are typically classified as buggies, trucks or monster trucks.
Off-road Track
Some people would argue that this is most creative kind of track. It can include as many ramps, jumps and obstacles for developing your RC racing skills.
