Engelbert Humperdinck live in Genting this August 13

Legendary superstar Engelbert Humperdinck is set to return to Resorts World Genting’s (RWG) Arena of Stars with his “Falling in love with Engelbert Humperdinck” concert on August 13, 2022.

Fans of the British crooner can expect to hear a repertoire of his greatest hits including Release Me, The Last Waltzand A Man Without Love at the concert.

Humperdinck shot to fame with his 1967 hit single Release Me. The song enjoyed unprecedented popularity, rocketing off the UK charts and staying a record 56 weeks on the UK Top 50 Singles chart. It was No.1 in 11 countries; cementing Humperdinck’s reputation as a superstar.  

Following the success of Please Release Me, Humperdinck went on to record more songs and a series of albums that have since become ballad staples and timeless classics including Am I That Easy To Forget,Quando Quando Quando,A Man Without Love and When There’s No You.

He also starred in his own musical variety production, The Engelbert Humperdinck Show broadcasted in the UK and the US with special appearances by Liberace, Shirley Bassey, Tony Bennet, Ray Charles, Dusty Springfield, Paul Anka, Tom Jones and Dionne Warwick.

From the mid-1970s through the 1990s, Humperdinck established himself as a musical touring force, focusing on lavish live performances of up to 200 concerts a year with headlining appearances in Las Vegas.

In a span of 55 years, Humperdinck generated sales in excess of 140 million records, including 64 gold albums and 35 platinum, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Las Vegas Walk of Fame, and Leicester Walk of Fame. 

He has also managed to strike a new chord with the younger generation, appearing on MTV several times. His hit song, A Man Without Love was recently featured in Marvel’s “Moon Knight” Disney+ Series, with his music and social media charts breaking all records. Sony Pictures’ new Brad Pitt film, “Bullet Train” also features his song, Forever Blowing Bubbles.

Last year, Humperdinck was awarded the Honour of Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II. He has performed for the Queen four times, several presidents and many heads of state. His music has transcended time and his unique voice continues to charm, transport and inspire millions of fans around the globe. Humperdinck continues to tour globally into 2022.

Concert tickets are on sale now, priced at RM696 (VIP), RM456 (PS1), RM306 (PS2) and RM196 (PS3).

Guests are advised to arrive early at the venue as the performance starts at 8.30pm sharp. Late arrivals may result in non-admittance until a suitable interval in the programme.
