A total of 46 contestants representing 26 countries, including from Malaysia will be participating in the maiden edition of Miss & Mister Celebrity International 2023 Pageant final to be held at HGH Convention Centre, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur on May 1.
The international delegates were unveiled at a press presentation held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on April 24.
In his speech welcoming the delegates, International Celebrity Pageant Group founder and president Lennard Tan said, “We are very glad to announce that this is the very first time Miss & Mister Celebrity International Pageant will be held internationally and would like to take this opportunity to say a million thanks for the overwhelming responds and support.
‘It is a prestigious opportunity to be able to host Miss & Mister Celebrity International Pageant in my home country and positively showcasing the beauty of Malaysia to the global viewing audiences from 26 countries participating.
“Let’s begin this meaningful pageantry journey and become more than just being beauty Kings and Queens in the eyes of the nation.”
The finalists hailed from countries such as Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Japan, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and host Malaysia, among them.
Malaysia will be represented by Yap Wen Wei (Miss) and Terry Tan (Mister).
In the run-up to the final on May 1, contestants will undergo various trainings facilitated by experts from industries such as etiquette and catwalk. They will also participate in photoshoots, sponsor visits and city tours of Kuala Lumpur and Malacca famous landmarks.
“In line with International Celebrity Pageant Group to incubate and to build a community that empower all walks of life and to be able to raise by lifting others up, we hold strong believes in supporting various causes such as ‘Zero Hate – Equality & Opportunity’ and ‘Zero Waste’, Tan added.
The Zero Hate – Equality & Opportunity’ campaign aims to stop spreading any forms of hates and show support for equality and opportunity for everyone.
Meanwhile, the ‘Zero Waste’ campaign is aimed at educating the people to build a waste-free and sustainable future for the world and future generations.
