CTOS SME Biz Day 2025: Call for SMEs to embrace digital innovation and transformation

The CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 is back, bigger and better, with a nationwide tour across Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Kuching.

Set to be one the largest SME event of the year, the kick-off event in Kuala Lumpur will be happening on May 6, 2025 at Nexus, Bangsar South.

Organised annually by Malaysia’s leading credit reporting agency CTOS, the event aims to equip SMEs with the knowledge, tools, and networks to unlock their full business potential, with the theme “Future-forward SMEs, Digitalise, Transform, Innovate”.

SME Biz Day is a key platform for businesses to connect with industry experts and successful entrepreneurs, access valuable resources, as well as discover new opportunities to elevate their business.

From enhancing credit health to securing finances to embracing digital transformation, CTOS SME Biz Day highlights real, actionable strategies for SMEs to future-proof their operations.

CTOS Digital Berhad group chief executive officer Erick Hamburger said CTOS can do more than just a credit score provider, it is committed to empowering SMEs to unlock their full potential and expand their businesses both locally and globally.

“As a key player in the industry, we tap into our wealth of data and connections to empower businesses with better credit risk management. Our goal? We want to build a strong financial ecosystem for the nation by ensuring that SMEs have the tools and support they need to thrive in an ever-evolving market,” he said.

To help SMEs stay ahead of the curve and capitalise on new opportunities, this year’s SME Biz Day will focus on three key areas:

  • Mastering e-invoicing – SMEs will learn how to implement and manage e-invoicing systems, streamlining their financial operations and improving accuracy. This session will cover best practices and compliance requirements for transitioning to e-invoicing.
  • Leveraging Government incentives – Experts will provide guidance on how to take full advantage of the latest government incentives and policies, ensuring businesses can maximise their benefits and drive sustainable development.
  • Mitigating risks with digital tools – From cybersecurity measures to financial risk management, SMEs will discover strategies to protect their operations and enhance resilience in an increasingly digital world.

This year’s CTOS SME Biz Day has secured an impressive lineup of prominent speakers, including representatives from the government, key industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs, including representatives from Small and Medium Enterprises Association, SME Corp Malaysia, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit and Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia.
