From now until Feb 15, 2022, the Chinese New Year celebration takes on a modern twist featuring the four arts of qín (琴), qí (棋), shū (书), and huà (画) – the ancient Chinese scholarly aspirations of mastery of music, strategy, calligraphy and painting along with a Chinese New Year market and engaging activities.
The four arts are reflected in Fahrenheit88’s festive decor at Atrium, ground floor – you can snap Instagrammable photos with the guqin (seven-string instrument), play a game on the chess board, try your hand at calligraphy and admire traditional Chinese paintings.
A variety of new year goodies including delectable cookies, cakes, snacks, beautiful handicrafts and other locally made products are on offer at pop-up stalls by Kome, Taste of Asiaand Gelato Fruity.
Tee Ying Jie, an award-winning calligraphist and lecturer from INTI Center of Art and Design (ICAD) is also showcasing over 60 pieces of his calligraphy and hanging lanterns artwork in the Tiger Brush Painting exhibition from now till Feb 15, 2022.
