
Carlsberg Malaysia ushers in the Chinese New Year (CNY) of the Horse with limited-edition festive cans and bottles and nationwide promotions.
The CNY festive-packaging design for its cans and bottles showcases majestic steeds emerging from swirling clouds shaped from Carlsberg’s signature hop leaf inspired by the nobility of the Horse and the timeless elegance of Chinese lacquer art.
The auspicious crimson, radiant gold and Carlsberg’s iconic jade green colour palettes designed for the packaging symbolises continuous good fortune, smoothness and prosperity for the year ahead. With its layered textures, modern detailing and a Horse charging boldly into the new year, the design stands as a striking emblem of rising luck and forward momentum.

Beyond the festive packaging, this year’s celebration is anchored on the brand’s “Brewing Prosperity Together” positioning, supported by nationwide consumer promotions and on ground activations, including CarlsCrib CNY Edition in Kuala Lumpur and multiple retail and on trade reward mechanics running through the festive period.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said the celebrations become more meaningful when people gather together in the spirit of reunion and renewal.
“This coming CNY, we’re proud to unveil a festive identity that is part of a unified regional rollout across Malaysia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam – our way of delivering #BestwithCarlsberg moments to consumers across Asia.

A highlight of the campaign is the return of the brand’s signature CarlsCrib: CNY Edition taking place in Kuala Lumpur from Jan 30 to Feb 1, 2026.
The event features exclusive goodies, festive foods, live house vibes and interactive experiences to gallop into a smooth and prosperous year with Carlsberg.
Carlsberg is also inviting shoppers to join the “Shaking Prosperity Together” activation at selected super-and hypermarkets. With a minimum spend RM288 on participating Carlsberg brands, shoppers can stand a chance to win instant rewards, including a limited-edition Carlsberg rummy set.
Shoppers purchasing three cartons of 1664 at super- hypermarkets will receive a limited-edition 1664 rummy set, while Connor’s fans can redeem a BBQ grill with the purchase of three cartons just in time for reunion feasts and backyard parties.
In Peninsular Malaysia, shoppers cann redeem a stylish 20” luggage bag with purchase of three cartons of Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Sapporo or Somersby (with Sapporo included in the mix).
In Sabah and Sarawak, any combo of two cartons of Carlsberg Smooth Draught paired with either a carton of Sapporo or Somersby offers the same reward.
From Jan 1 to Feb 28, 2026, shoppers who purchase any Carlsberg products at 99 Speedmart stand a chance to win from a RM288,888 cash prize pool, with weekly angpow prizes of RM1,788 (seven winners) or RM99 (168 winners).
During the same period, consumers could win RM3,888 (8 winners every week) or RM178 (88 winners weekly) with purchase of any three bottles of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Connor’s or Sapporo at food courts or restaurants to redeem a deck of limited-edition Carlsberg playing cards and one contest entry.
Consumers spending RM68 on Carlsberg brands in participating pubs and bars will be entitled for one contest entry; while choosing 1664, Connor’s, Sapporo or Somersby gets two contest entries.
And consumers spending RM20 at participating convenience stores can receive RM5 Touch ‘n Go credit and a chance to win an iPhone 17 Pro.
