Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s Real Spicy, Real Smooth campaign returns, with local spicy food, beer and smiling taste buds this August 18 to September 2, 2023 at JioSpace, Petaling Jaya.
Consumers will be treated to a complementary Carlsberg Smooth Draught as a welcome drink before embarking their tastebuds on a journey of discovery and culinary delight.
Delectable edible delights ranging from devil’s curry pocket buns, nasi lemak bomb, mala sui yoke and “stinky” popiah, curated by homegrown culinary maestro, MonsterChef founder KC Choong, await with every bite.
There is also Churn’s Beer-gato, an artisanal affogato mixed with smooth beer, alongside Bean Jr’s three-level mala tau-fu-fa, all perfect pairings with Carlsberg Smooth Draught.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said the Real Spicy, Real Smooth campaign is all about making flavourful food and smooth beer accessible to consumers.
“Last year, Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s Real Spicy, Real Smooth has delivered a VIP exBEERience to 200 lucky winners, in collaboration with a Penangite Michelin-starred chef.
“This year, Carlsberg Smooth Draught is back with an even larger and “smoother” celebration of beer and local spicy flavours with an enhanced and curated experience that celebrates the perfect blend between spice and smoothness,” he said.
The brand activations for the event include a cocktail workshop conducted by Jason Julian of Soma Cocktail Bar where consumers can try their hand at creating their own signature concoctions over the weekend.
Other features include a ‘Tap Your Own Beer’ bar, photo booth and fun AR games that give prizes to winners.
There will be performances to liven the evening by a host of local DJs, including Bass Agents, Ken Fung, Ramsey Westwood, Mizzkiya, Naro, Sim and Kenji as well as Inquisitive from Singapore.
The brand will also offer exclusive merchandise made in collaborations with Apom! and Gumme.
Consumers can also join the speciality workshops, conducted by Gumme every Saturday during the campaign period or try their hand at customising their very own tote bags.
The Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s Real Spicy, Real Smooth open its doors daily from 5pm to 11pm on weekdays and 11am to 11pm on weekend, including on public holidays.
