Carlsberg Malaysia gallops into the Year of the Horse with CarlsCrib CNY edition

Carlsberg Malaysia galloped into the Year of the Horse, drawing an energetic crowd to its CarlsCrib CNY Edition eperience at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya.

The vibrant celebration from Jan 30 to Feb 1, 2026, transformed the mall’s forecourt outdoor carpark into the ultimate crib for Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations, bringing its “Brewing Prosperity Together” (一起發) festive message to life with live music, thrilling games, good food, hands-on workshops and memorable keepsakes. 

“CarlsCrib CNY Edition reflects how we bring the Carlsberg brand to life through experiences that feel authentic, contemporary and centred around togetherness,” said Carlsberg Malaysia marketing director Olga Pulyaeva.

She added, “CNY is a moment when people seek connection, optimism and shared joy. This crib brings those values forward in a way that is true to our brand, as we continue Brewing Prosperity Togetherand creating moments that are truly #BestWithCarlsberg.” 

The venue gathered families and friends together, sharing over great food, good company and laughter. It included festive photo spots, complimentary cans of Carlsberg beer and cocktail workshops at the CarlsBar, where guests crafted their own Fire Horse Carlsberg-infused drinks.

One of the main activities was the Golden Gallop obstacle course, where participants raced against the clock, leapt over hurdles and snatched up hop leaf markers to climb the live leaderboard.  The challenge rewarded top performers every two hours with prizes including a Case Valker 20” travel luggage worth RM499, duffel bags and limited-edition T-shirts.

Beyond the race, the festivities also hosted a CNY Bazaar featuring streetwear, TNTCO’s exclusive drop and MBTM booth for on-the-spot T-shirt pritning.

As evening set in, the main stage came alive with a lineup of trending buskers, energetic live house acts and headlining performers. Highlights included Dissyco meeting fans on the secomd day during the promotion of their anticipated film “I’m Not Gangster,” and rising local Mandopop star Daniel Chezi who performed soul-stirring tracks on the last day.

The CarlsCrib food stalls offered a mix of nostalgic snacks, classic CNY favourites and popular street eats., including Carlsberg-infused creations such as Beer-Braised Pork from Kuba Eats, Fifty Tales’ Mapo Tofu Noodles, Licky Chan Ice Cream and Lion Dance Angku from Floccus Floccus.
