Canon Marketing Malaysia announced it has achieved and maintained its status as the leading brand in the inkjet printer market for 29 consecutive years.
This honour, validated by the latest report from market research firm IDC in its Worldwide Quarterly Hardcopy Peripheral Tracker for 2024, underscores Canon’s commitment to quality and innovation in the printing industry.
Canon first claimed the top position in the Inkjet sector in 1996, and over nearly three decades, it has continually evolved to meet the everchanging landscape and demands of consumers and businesses, ranging from individual home users to expansive corporations.
2024 saw multiple milestones for Canon Malaysia, particularly in the inkjet printer market, where the company celebrated 28 years of unwavering excellence.
A highlight of the year was the launch of the E series printer in a striking green and white colour. This new design not only captivated consumers with its aesthetic appeal but also exemplified Canon’s commitment to blending innovative technology with contemporary style.
The E series has established Canon as a top choice for both home and business environments, reinforcing it’s’ commitment in delivering high-quality, reliable printing solutions.
In parallel, Canon’s success in the laser printer segment has been equally triumphant, maintaining a leadership position for nine consecutive years since 2016.
The brand’s dedication to delivering reliable and high-performance multifunction printers has driven substantial growth and customer loyalty, with the tagline “Built for Business” reflecting the quality that users have come to expect.
Canon Marketing head of personal system devices division Sandy Lee said the recognition as the top inkjet and laser printer brand for the 29th and 9th year running reflects the strong support from customers and the hard work of the company’s entire team.
“We are focused on developing innovative printing solutions that meet the changing needs of our users, and we thank them for their continued trust in Canon,” she said.
Lee said despite evolving landscapes and shifting lifestyle trends, printing remains a critical operational requirement for both home and office sectors.
“Canon is actively pursuing new avenues to address these evolving demands and is committed to developing innovative solutions that effectively meet the needs of its clientele, ensuring it continues to be the market leader in the industry,” she added.
Looking ahead to a successful 2025, Canon remains dedicated to enhancing the printing experience and ensuring the continued and effective service of its diverse user base.
