Canon Marketing Malaysia recently brought cheer to 48 children from two children’s homes with a fun-filled outing at Legoland Malaysia Resort, Johor, as part of its ongoing programmes to aid the underserved community.
Canon Marketing Malaysia Johor Bahru branch head Benny Tai said the company has long been committed to providing aid to underserved communities and the educational trip to Legoland Malaysia provided opportunity for fun-learning experiences for the children.
“We are happy to foster creativity as well as the spirit of exploration and adventure in the next generation through this collaboration.
“At Canon, we believe in integrating with local communities for the wellbeing of everybody under our ‘Kyosei’ philosophy,” he said.
All the 48 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Shan De Johor Bahru and Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Shafar were treated to a whole day of activities organised by Canon, and chief among them was a visit to the Canon-sponsored 4D Theatre in the theme park.
This was followed by various challenge-based learning activities such as the Legoland Malaysia’s Education Program for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
During these activities, the children were also given the opportunity to use Canon’s cameras to get the best shots of the day’s activities and print out their photographs as keepsakes.
As the imaging partner for Legoland Malaysia over a decade ago when the park was newly opened, Canon reaffirmed its commitment to the partnership as the park celebrates its 10th anniversary.
In line with its purpose of using ‘Imaging for Good’ and, by providing essential imaging solutions such as cameras, copiers and printers, the company has helped elevate the experience of Legoland Malaysia’s visitors to another level.
During the 10th anniversary of Legoland Malaysia, its sales and marketing director Thila Munusamy commended Canon’s commitment in delighting its customers with products and services that help capture memorable moments of fun, adventure and creative expression.
“Canon has been very supportive of many of our visually-driven activities at Legoland Malaysia over the last 10 years. With their latest range of products and numerous sponsorships, we have been able to bring our Lego DNA of learning through play to life in the resort. We look forward to bringing more immersive and engaging activities to our guests,” he said.
Canon’s social contribution activities are guided by their ‘Kyosei’ principle, focusing on education, community care, environment and cultural improvement. The company seeks to explore and expand their social commitment to inspire future generations by supporting education and community care through CSR activities that promote societal sustainability and equitable opportunity for all.
