BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has unveiled its latest compact electric SUV, designed for a new generation of drivers, at Heritage Village Kuala Lumpur on July 24, 2025.
Only one variant of the Atto 2 will be made available for the Malaysian market, priced at RM100,000.
Bringing premium electric vehicle (EV) technology within reach, the BYD Atto 2 is tailored for first-time drivers, trendsetters and go-getters eager to embrace electric mobility.

The BYD Atto 2 is powered by a 174hp electric motor delivering 290 Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Paired with BYD’s in-house 51.13 kWh Blade Battery, boasting a range of up to 410km (NEDC cycle). AC charging is rated at Type 2, 7kW and DC fast-charging (CCS2) can go up to 82kW.
The Atto 2 in Malaysia comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin is equally refined, featuring synthetic leather seats, premium black interior and a spacious layout designed for comfort and modern living.
It is equipped with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that support both wireless and wired connections.
The BYD Atto 2 is available in three exterior colours – Ski White, Breeze Green and Harbour Grey.
