Property developer Boustead Properties Berhad, a member of Boustead Group, has responded to the plight of thousands in Johor who were impacted by the recent floods.

Together with its subsidiary Mutiara Rini Sdn Bhd, the company donated RM20,000 in aid of the victims, through the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS).

The contribution was presented to Dato’ Rashidi Md Nor, deputy chairman, National Committee for Community Services and Health, MRCS, in Johor, which will be used to purchase food and other essentials.

Boustead Properties acting chief executive officer Izaddeen Daud said, “We are saddened by the loss of lives and plight of flood victims who have lost their homes to the floods. We hope our support to the relief operations will help lighten the burden of victims and help them get through trying times.”

“We would also like to commend MRCS and the authorities for their tremendous relief efforts and selfless dedication in providing much-needed aid at a time when the country continues to deal with pandemic-related health concerns,” Izaddeen added.

“MRCS would like to record our heartfelt thanks to Boustead Properties for coming forward to donate to flood victims in Johor. We look forward to more corporate players to join in concerted effort to assist flood victims in rebuilding their lives,” said Dato’ Rashidi.
