Blackmores Malaysia has achieved halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), becoming the first Australian-manufactured finished goods brand to achieve this milestone.
The certification reinforces Blackmores’ commitment to providing high-quality, ethical products that cater not only to the Muslim community but to all consumers as well.
It strengthens consumer trust and reaffirms Blackmores’ commitment to transparency, excellence, and sustainability in every aspect of its business.

“For us, this halal certification is not just about compliance; it’s a commitment to transparency, ethical sourcing and integrity in every aspect of our business – from ingredients to packaging,” said Blackmores Malaysia & Singapore country manager Kumaran Chandrasergaran.
Kumaran received the certificate from Dhaliff Anuar, the head of halal consultancy and advisory from Halal Development Corporation Bhd (HDC) at a ceremony held at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 12, 2025.
Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia Danielle Heinecke was in attendance to commemorate the milestone.
Kumaran said the achievement underscores Blackmores’ dedication to stringent safety standards, transparent sourcing and sustainable manufacturing.
It also highlights the brand’s focus on ethical labour practices, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare, ensuring its products meet the highest global standards.
“Achieving halal certification is a significant step in reinforcing consumer trust. For our Muslim customers, it ensures they are consuming products that align with their values. For all consumers, it’s a promise of the quality and safety Blackmores has been known for.
“We will continue our vision to connect every consumer to the healing power of nature by combining our expertise with science to deliver quality health solutions to people everywhere, every day.
“This certification further strengthens our commitment to providing trusted, natural healthcare solutions that support the well-being of our consumers,” said Kumaran.
Meanwhile, Danielle Heinecke said the milestone reflects the strength of the Australia-Malaysia relationship, showcasing Australian innovation and quality aligned with Malaysia’s values and standards.
“Blackmores’ achievement in obtaining Jakim halal certification is a testament to the growing partnership between our nations, benefiting both businesses and consumers alike.
“Blackmores’ halal certification sets a strong example of global standards and ethical practices in the wellness industry.
“We are proud to support Blackmores’ dedication to excellence and reliability in meeting the needs of Muslim consumers,” he said
Blackmores is recognised as a Platinum Trusted Brand, having won the title for 10 consecutive years as voted by Malaysian consumers.
