Ayam Brand scaling up support for the underprivileged, frontliners during 3rd wave

Frontliners from Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, Kota Bharu, Kelantan received Ayam Brand products.

As the third wave of Covid-19 infection continues to impact Malaysians, especially the needy and medical front liners, Ayam Brand is scaling up to help with the contribution of canned food products worth over RM10,000 to charity homes, hospitals and clinics.

The contribution of Ayam Brand products included Ayam Brand Mackerel in Tomato Sauce 300g/425g, Ayam Brand Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce 230g/425g, Ayam Brand Sardines in Tomato Sauce 155g/300g, Ayam Brand Saba Mayonnaise 160g and Ayam Brand Saba in Olive Oil 150g.

Ayam Brand marketing manager Teoh Wei Ling said it worked with Angels Garden Global Centre to support ten charity homes in the Klang Valley and contributed to the frontliners from five government hospitals and health clinics in Kelantan.

“The pandemic puts pressure on all of us. For frontliners, the long hours and stress leave no time to grab even a quick meal. Our team in Kelantan highlighted that there was a need that we could meet. We offered our ready-to-eat sardines, tuna and mackerel for its high nutrition value to keep them going,” she said.

“Children, differently-abled and old folks needed other nutritious foods such as sardines, tuna and mackerel for a healthy balanced diet,” Teoh added.

“The pandemic drastically changed the livelihood and lifestyle for many. We understand the NGOs challenges when donors became less charitable due to change in financial priorities. We continue to play our part by giving healthy meals to those in need,” she said.

Pusat Jagaan Kanak Ekliptik Klang received Ayam Brand products during the third Covid wave.

Ayam Brand has helped to increase the welfare of beneficiary communities through many of its corporate social responsibility campaigns which have gone on for 13 years benefitting more than 524 charity organizations and NGOs in Malaysia.
