Malaysian fans of the popular anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen, are in for a treat as Animation ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Exhibition has arrived in Malaysia, opening its doors from August 16 until October 20, 2024 at Fahrenheit88 shopping mall in Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur.

The country has been chosen as the first country to host this exhibition in Southeast Asia.

The immersive exhibition features over 100 exclusive exhibits imported from Japan, showcasing the artistic brilliance of the animation of Jujutsu Kaisen.

“We’re thrilled to bring an exhibition of this magnitude for such a popular series to Malaysia for the first time.

“Our team has worked hard to introduce Jujutsu Kaisen’s intellectual property to the Malaysian market, allowing dedicated fans to experience it firsthand,” said Moments Experiential chief strategy officer Eelynn Kong during the event launch at Fahrenheit88 on Aug 15, 2024.

She added, “We want to create experiences that are unlike any other. After all, we now live in a new era where creativity can be boosted with technology and a little finesse to create something unforgettable.”

Honoring the spirit of Jujutsu Kaisen, key figures enjoy sukuna finger-shaped chocolates during the media launch of the exhibition.

Visitors of Animation ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Exhibition will be transported into the heart of Tokyo as depicted in the anime, through the display of detailed replicas of key locations, life-sized statues and cutouts of beloved characters, and exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of the production process.

Fans will also have the unique opportunity to experience the intricate artistry and storytelling that have captivated millions worldwide.

The exhibition features four main chapters based on the series, aptly titled “Cursed Womb Must Die”, “Small Fry and Reverse Retribution”, “Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event”, and “The Origin of Blind Obedience”.

This retrospective of some of the anime’s most memorable moments is bound to bring fans back to where it all began to experience the excitement, anguish, and tension all over again.

Other highlights include the animation manuscript section, showcasing over 100 character action line drawings and main character settings. The many details on these paper manuscripts are sure to captivate fans, who can stop to admire and pay tribute to the creators.

This section also includes interviews with several MAPPA animation team members, such as Korean director Sunghoo Park, who shares his interpretation of the story. This insight offers fans a deeper understanding of the creation and journey of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Special photo zones as showcased during the Taiwan and Hong Kong exhibitions allow fans to get up close and personal with 1:1 life-sized models of their favourite characters such as Gojo Satoru, Itadori Yuji and Sukuna.

Additionally, the exhibition showcases various settings inspired by iconic scenes from Jujutsu Kaisen, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the world of the anime. These showcases aim to breathe life into the scenes, visitors can explore details of key environments from the series, experiencing the atmosphere and ambiance of these memorable moments firsthand.

Selected limited-edition items from Japan as well as the Taiwan and Hong Kong exhibition tours will be available at the exhibition.

There will also be plenty of bespoke products such as intricately designed lanyards, premium posters, a limited-edition collectible ticket card, and the highly sought-after Prison Realm stationeries and accessories, only available at Malaysia’s Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition.

Additionally, visitors can rest and recuperate with a delicious lineup of meals and drinks created in collaboration with Souled Out Cafe. The menu is designed to reflect some of the iconic characters of Jujutsu Kaisen such as Itadori Mango Mint, Nobara Sparkling Orange, Jogo Chicken Curry, Toge Yakitori Don and Hanami Tempura Salad.

The highlight must-buy is the exclusive custom-made artisanal chocolate creation, the Sukuna Cursed Finger chocolates, inspired by the dark and mysterious world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Each piece in this collection is crafted with precision and care, capturing the essence of Sukuna’s cursed finger and its powerful presence.
