Aman Central marks 10th anniversary with Kedah Fashion Week 2025

In celebration of its 10th anniversary this year, Aman Central shopping mall in Alor Setar will host the Kedah Fashion Week 2025 (KFW 2025), taking place from August 1 to 3, 2025.

This year’s fashion week carries the theme “Diamond,” symbolizing strength, brilliance and timeless beauty, making it a perfect representation of both Aman Central and Kedah Fashion Week that has shaped through time and pressure like a diamond, and evolved into one of the region’s celebrated platforms for fashion, art and creative expression.

The event will showcase the works of 18 couture designers and 11 emerging student designers from Universiti Kuala Lumpur on the catwalk.

Highlights will include renowned Thai designer Patinya Kyokong and returning KFW alumni such as Seth and Luna, Salleh Hamid, Hasfitri Yusof, Teddie Alrashed and others, alongside visionary designer Shanell Harun, and rising names like Isyraf Arysi, Hazizul Aziz, Helmi Hamdan, Ku Syafiq and Liren Ho.

A special “Evolut10n” showcase will mark the anniversary, while Aman Central’s retail partners, including HLA, New Era, Tomei, D’yana, Elrah Exclusive, Eco Optic, Babyshop and Watsons, will present creative runway pieces that blur the lines between lifestyle and couture.

This year’s lineup will bring fresh energy to KFW 2025 and reflect the vibrant creative movement that continues to grow in Northern Malaysia.

Belleview Group director Grace Ho gave an address during the sneak preview of Kedah Fashion Week 2025 at The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur on July 9.

“Aman Central’s story is shaped by the dreams and spirit of the people who have walked through its doors,” she said.

She went on to say, “From the very beginning, we hoped to create a place where communities could come together, where culture and creativity would be celebrated, and where the heart of Alor Setar could beat stronger with each passing year.

“To see how far we have come, and to witness the pride this space now holds for the people of Kedah, is deeply meaningful for all of us.”

Ho added, “Our next chapter will be about deepening our role as a cultural and creative anchor for Northern Malaysia.

Ken Chin, assistant general manager of marketing communications and Kedah Fashion Week creator at Aman Central said, “Kedah Fashion Week has grown into a space where fashion speaks of identity, ambition and community spirit.

“Each year, we see young designers, models and creators stepping forward, growing in confidence and finding their voice. That is the heart of this platform. It connects the rich cultural roots of Northern Malaysia with the future we are building, and it helps place this region on the creative map of the country.”

Chin continued, “Over the years, Kedah Fashion Week has grown from a simple idea into something that speaks to the heart of this community.

“Each collection is a reflection of stories shaped through time and experience. Like a diamond, this journey has been forged with resilience and vision.

“KFW 2025 will honour the progress we have made and celebrate the creative spirit that continues to evolve and inspire. It is deeply meaningful to witness how this platform has given so many talents a place to shine.”

The runway will be lit up with star-studded appearances by Nadeera Zaini, Hael Husaini, Amir Masdi and Mimifly, bringing their signature presence to this dazzling affair.

Adding a touch of regal elegance, Raja Puan Muda Kedah Che Puan Muda Zaheeda will grace all three days of the showcase, elevating the prestige of this extraordinary event.

Since its inception in 2015, Aman Central has received millions of visitors and helped shape a new chapter for Alor Setar. It has drawn global brands into the city while nurturing local entrepreneurs, driving cultural tourism and inspiring a renewed pride in Northern Malaysia’s creative identity. Among its most significant contributions is the creation of Kedah Fashion Week, first staged in 2016 and now one of Malaysia’s most celebrated fashion events.
