The Mrs Celebrity International 2024 competition officially kicked off with a sashing ceremony held on July 22 at Xmegami corporate office in Puchong, Selangor.
Seventeen contestants from over 10 countries and territories in this year’s pageant, including Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, Philippines, Hong Kong and host Malaysia will vie for the coveted Mrs Celebrity International 2024 title.
The grand final will be held on July 26 at the Galaxy Banquet Hall, Sentul in Kuala Lumpur.
The delegates were sashed by organiser International Celebrity Pageant Group founder Lennard Tan.
Tan expressed his pride and excitement in organising Mrs Celebrity International 2024 in Malaysia.
“We are thrilled to have you all here as we kick off this exciting journey.
“Before we begin, I would like to extend a special welcome to our guests, judges, sponsors, medias, our past winners, and of course our wonderful representatives 2024 who have travelled from around the world to be here today,” Tan said.
Tan added, “This event will showcase the talents of our contestants and the beauty of Malaysia. From the vibrant cities like Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, everyone will experience the rich culture and warm hospitality of our Malaysia cities. This competition will be a memorable celebration of Malaysia on an international stage.”
Tan said the delegates will be taken on a sight-seeing city tour to Kuala Lumpur and Melaka to promote the country’s tourism industry, ahead of the grand final.
The panel of judges include Mrs Celebrity Malaysia 2022 Chris Ding, Mrs Malaysia World 2015 Janet Foo, Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2019 Milky Tan, Mrs Asia International All Nation 2018 Renee Tang, Miss Model of the World Thailand 2014 Ananya, Asia top model Amber Chia and Miss United Nation International 2017 Carry Xie Ludan.
Pageant coach Nizam Jalil and Crystal Star Entertainment Vietnam CEO Vu Thai are also participating on the judging panel.
The Malaysia home-grown international pageant is supported by Tourism Malaysia under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
