Alamanda spreads festive cheer to children from YAYAKEM with shopping spree and iftar

In the spirit of Ramadan and Aidilfitri, Alamanda Shopping Centre, Putrajaya hosted 41 underprivileged children from YAYAKEM to a special Raya shopping experience and an iftar session at the mall on March 20, 2025.

The initiative is a continuation of Alamanda’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility of sharing the joy during festive seasons with underprivileged children.

The children aged between 9 and 12 years old personally selected new festive outfits and shoes, sponsored by retail partners including Bata, for their festive preparations.

The festivities were further enhanced with the presentation of ‘duit raya’ contributions from Alamanda and its tenant, TUCZ.

Following the shopping and duit raya sessions, the children were treated to a special iftar session, breaking fast along with VIP guests, Alamanda management and members of the media.

Francis Tan, the chief executive officer of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd stated during the event: “As the premier shopping destination in Putrajaya, Alamanda plays a key role in fostering compassion and community spirit. Through this initiative, we hope to bring joy to underprivileged children who may not have the privilege of experiencing Ramadan and Syawal as others do.”

Meanwhile, Muhammad Hanafi Jalalludin, the vice president of YAYAKEM expressed gratitude to Alamanda for providing a meaningful and cheerful celebration for the children this year.

In addition to its CSR efforts, Alamanda’s 2025 Hari Raya campaign features a Moroccan-inspired decor at Centre Court, showcasing royal blue and gold hues.

Visitors can also enjoy weekend performances of Zapin and Arabic dances, as well as VIKids-exclusive Moroccan glass painting workshops.

Shoppers who spend RM700 and above will receive a set of Raya packets and a glass cookie jar, while those who spend RM1,500 and above will also receive Alamanda e-voucher worth RM50.

The campaign also supports mental health awareness with the sale of ‘Green Ribbon Pins’ throughout the promotion period.
