Alamanda Shopping Centre, Putrajaya recently brought Raya cheer to orphans and underprivileged children from Pertubuhan Warisan Suci, Kajang, as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative.
Accompanied by Pertubuhan Warisan Suci manager Siti Khadijah Nadzri, the children, aged six years and below, were greeted by Alamanda Shopping Centre general manager Junaidy Jamaludin.
The children were taken on a shopping spree for new ‘baju raya’ and ‘kasut raya’.
Adding to the joyous occasion, Alamanda also contributed ‘duit raya’ to the children.
The event culminated with an iftar session, during which the children indulged in a meal of their choosing from the menu.
Francis Tan, the CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd said they recognised the pivotal role they can play in engaging and supporting the community, especially children in need.
“While Hari Raya is a time for celebration with loved ones, it is imperative to acknowledge those who may not have the same privileges. Thus, we are delighted to share the joy of Hari Raya with the children of Pertubuhan Warisan Suci,” he said.
Pertubuhan Warisan Suci is a welfare organization that serves as a sanctuary for children in need, particularly orphans, providing them with shelter and care.
