
Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya unveiled its new look following a transformative redevelopment backed by a RM100 million investment from its owner Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd.
The redevelopment which commenced on June 20, 2023, spanning a gross floor area of 1,056,000 sq ft with an investment of RM100 million, marks the first major overhaul since the mall’s establishment in 2004.
The shopping mall now boasts an Escape Putrajaya outdoor adventure park at the Esplanade, a 10-hall TGV Cinemas and an expanded U-Bowl X bowling centre with 26 lanes.
The transformation also introduces a 27% increase in net lettable area of 199,000 sq ft (including Escape Putrajaya) with exciting line-up of 29 new stores, offering an eclectic mix of F&B, fashion and lifestyle brands.
The inauguration ceremony of the new-look Alamanda Shopping Centre was officiated on Feb 23, 2025 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, underscoring its significance as a cornerstone of Putrajaya’s retail and lifestyle landscape.
He also mentioned the collaboration between Putrajaya Holdings and the government, which has brought the country’s first Kiosk Sentuhan Madani to Alamanda, allowing the public to conduct digital transactions with selected government departments beyond working hours.
The ceremony was also attended by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
Also present at the launch was Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Dato’ Ir. Ts. Izwan Hasli Mohd Ibrahim.

Alamanda now boasts a sophisticated new look with sleek marble flooring, glass balustrades and stainless-steel handrails. Meanwhile, the new Plaza and façade complement Alamanda’s new landscape, seamlessly connecting visitors to new retail offerings.
Outside, a 60,000 sq ft landscape features lush lawns overlooking the lake, planter boxes with built- in seating filled with native plant species, and a deck crafted from sustainable materials.

Alamanda’s new Esplanade features high-volume low-speed (HVLS) fans for optimal climate control, offering a comfortable outdoor dining experience while overlooking the fun activities at Escape Putrajaya.
In conjunction with the relaunch, the ASEAN Colouring Contest took place on Feb 22 and 23, alongside the Alamanda Rapid Chess Tournament on Feb 23 February. Both student events highlight Alamanda’s commitment to community engagement, celebrating ASEAN unity while showcasing young talent.
