Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia and Aeon Retail Malaysia have teamed up to release a festive Raya song aptly named “Balik Kampung…Gosip Raya” performed by two popular Malaysian TV personalities Ain Edruce and Sherry Alhadad.
The launch of the new Raya song was held at Aeon Style Taman Maluri in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 20, 2025.
The event started with an exclusive fashion show of Aeon’s Seloka Raya collection, exemplifying its dedication to celebrating timeless Raya traditions through the beauty of Raya fashion. The collection included a mix of timeless baju kurung and kebayas as well as contemporary kaftans and modern silhouettes, truly embodying the spirit of nostalgia, blended with festive joy.
Once the models have done their final walk, Ain Edruce and Sherry Alhadad came on stage to wow the crowd with their rendition of “Balik Kampung…Gosip Raya.”
The song is a dramatic take on one of the most familiar and playful Raya traditions – sharing stories and festive banter.
Set to drop before Ramadan, the song gives everyone plenty of time to memorize the lyrics and gear up for the ultimate karaoke session on the road trip back to their hometowns.
Aeon Malaysia chief merchandise and marketing officer Low Ngai Yuen said they chose to work with Sony Music Malaysia because of their creativity in blending culture with contemporary sounds.

Besides Ain and Sherry, the music video for this song also features Hafiz Hamidun, Vanessa Reynaulad, Adrianna Cinta, Afif Termizie and hip-hop star Kidd Santhe, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Ain added, “This isn’t our first time working together, but it’s our first time collaborating on a song. We’ve been partners-in-crime on many projects, so we already know each other’s quirks. If we’re already chaotic on set, imagine what happened in the recording studio.”
As a song that reflects real-life conversations during festive occasions, Ain and Sherry hope that “Balik Kampung…Gosip Raya” will be a must-have track in everyone’s Aidilfitri playlist this year.
