A nostalgic Raya at the Curve’s ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’ campaign

The Curve marked the launch of its 2025 Raya campaign with a Berbuka Puasa gathering for children from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Damai, Kuang.

This Raya season, the Curve invites visitors to relive the nostalgia of 90s Raya celebrations with ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’.

From nostalgic decorations, vibrant cultural performances, meaningful CSR initiatives and a bustling Raya marketplace, the Curve’s ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’ offers a truly special festive experience.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the charm of past Raya celebrations, rekindle cherished memories, and create new moments of joy with their loved ones. 

The campaign will run from now until April 6, 2025.

The centrepiece of the Raya décor in the Curve’s Centre Court is a traditional Rumah Biru-inspired kampung house reminiscent of the classic wooden homes of Kampung Baru.

The mall’s Centre Court has been transformed into a vibrant retro bus terminal, celebrating the nostalgic charm of Raya in the city.

A key highlight of the nostalgic setup is the iconic pink minibus, a familiar sight in the Klang Valley and a beloved part of Malaysia’s transportation history.

Complementing the nostalgic theme is a traditional Rumah Biru-inspired kampung house, reminiscent of the classic wooden homes of Kampung Baru, as well as old-school bus stops, ticket counters and a 90s Raya setup that beautifully captures the charm of past celebrations.

In the spirit of giving, the Curve marked the launch of its Raya campaign with a Berbuka Puasa gathering for children from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Damai, Kuang where Flint Café & Roastery located in the mall hosted them for a special iftar experience as part of the Curve Lurve CSR initiative.

The Curve and its vendors contributed essential items, Raya outfits, duit raya, hampers and festive cookies, ensuring the children enjoyed a truly memorable celebration.

The Curve’s Raya celebration features over 100 Raya booths, including more than 10 celebrity booths, offering a diverse selection of Raya outfits, accessories, festive cookies and buka puasa dishes.

In keeping with its commitment to championing local entrepreneurs, the Curve’s Raya celebration features over 100 Raya booths, including more than 10 celebrity booths, offering a diverse selection of Raya outfits, accessories, festive cookies and buka puasa dishes.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the Raya spirit with lively cultural performances such as Dikir Barat, Zapin and Raya Musical Dance, while families can enjoy Kids’ Raya Workshops, where young ones can take part in Ketupat Weaving and Raya Card Making during weekends.

The Beraya di Kota Raya launch at the Curve came alive with a vibrant caklempong performance.

For those who love a challenge, the Curve’s ‘Cari dan Menang’ social media contest offers shoppers a chance to win shopping vouchers and exclusive the Curve merchandise.

Further fostering the spirit of giving, the Curve collaborated with Suria FM to organise a Bubur Lambuk distribution, featuring the renowned Masjid Kampung Baru Bubur Lambuk team. The traditional dish was prepared and shared with visitors, with the participation of Khairul Azizi Ismail, chief executive officer of Boustead Properties Berhad; Jazmi Kamarudin, chief operations officer of Boustead Properties Berhad; and Suria FM’s radio personalities DJ Lin, Iman, and Chiwan and staff members.

To encourage community participation, a Donation Booth ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ is available at the Centre Court from Feb 28 to April 6,where shoppers can contribute essential items to Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Damai Kuang. Donations will be delivered in two batches, on March 17 and April 7.

Additionally, every Friday before iftar, the Curve’s management team will distribute 50 special Ramadan gift packs to shoppers as a token of appreciation. 

Shoppers will also be rewarded through the Curve’s Gift with Purchase (GWP) programme. With a minimum spend of RM200, shoppers will receive limited-edition Raya packets and stickers. Those spending RM450 and above will receive a special Raya tote bag, designed by local artist Ann Jaafar, along with Raya packets and stickers. 

Embracing the festive spirit of togetherness, the Curve is sponsoring tickets for the #theCurveBelanjaBalikKampung initiative in collaboration with Suria FM. This exciting social media and on-air contest invites participants to submit their most creative Pantun Raya for a chance to win VIP bus tickets home for Raya to the southern, eastern and northern region.
