Sabah civil servant wins her grand prize of Vespa motorbike in MR DIY contest

Alicia@Alice Marcus Mujamah, 45, a civil servant from Tambunan, Sabah, has won the grand prize in MR DIY Group Belanja & Menang Contest.

She rides home a brand new Vespa Primavera 150 motorbike.

“It was my first time participating in such contest, and I couldn’t believe it when I was informed that I won the grand prize.

“I look forward to bringing my brand new ride to Tambunan and riding around town with this Vespa. It’s like a dream come true,” she said.

The contest period from Nov 1 – Dec 31 2021, offered prizes worth over RM165,000 to more than 1,000 lucky customers.

MR D.I.Y. Group marketing head Alex Goh said the company is always on the lookout for new and better ways to reward their loyal customers.

“The ‘Belanja & Menang’ contest has always been popular with our MR DIY customers. This is the first time we are extending it across our MR DIY, MR Toy and MR Dollar brands.  This has proven to be a real crowd-puller; we received an overwhelming response from Malaysians. We look forward to more opportunities to provide more value to our customers.”

In addition to the Grand Prize, the prize presentation ceremony also saw two first prize winners take home Thermomix TM6 smart cookers, while the three second prize winners each received an iPhone 13 Pro (128GB).

Five third prize winners took home a Le Creuset Round Casserole (24cm) each, and eight fourth prize winners received an iPad 9th Gen (64GB) each.

Another 1,000 lucky shoppers were each awarded consolation prizes of RM100 in shopping vouchers.
