This Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Fahrenheit88 shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur presents Raya Melodies, featuring the past in an exquisite showcase of legacy and tradition, inspired by the lives and works of Malaysian performing icons, Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Sri Saloma.
In partnership with Arkib Negara Malaysia, the shopping mall presents a golden ambience of yesteryears, by reliving nostalgic memories of P. Ramlee and Saloma against a backdrop of traditional kampung huts infused with contemporary designs from now until May 16, 2022.
The P. Ramlee Gallery on Level 2, presents the P. Ramlee dan Saloma Exhibition – Aku, Dia dan Lagu. Fans will get the chance to watch snippets of their movies, browse old movie posters and soak in a rare display of personal artifacts of the two icons, including clothing made famous in their movies and performances.
Fahrenheit88 also partners with Kraftangan Malaysia to present unique Raya souvenirs and a comprehensive collection of gift ideas at the Raya Craft Market at the ground atrium.
These include artisanal merchandise, festive wear, handmade accessories, as well as jewellery. Shoppers may also try their hand at a game of congkak, a two-player traditional Malay game, or snap Instagram-worthy photos with traditional props.
Throughout the celebrations, a variety of activities and performances will engage shoppers including busking performances and a series of workshops such as batik colouring, ceramic Colouring, wire keychain making, Manik accessories making and making non-baked Raya cookies.
Shoppers can further experience the festive warmth and gaiety this Raya season with an array of retail offerings and special promotions at Brands Outlet, Daiso, Emrusa, Feith, Kronoz, MR.DIY and Uniqlo.
Fahrenheit88 is rewarding shoppers who choose to shop at the mall with Raya Rewards. Shoppers with a spend of minimum RM280 in a single receipt may redeem a special edition P. Ramlee medallion gold coin. They may also take part in a Ketupat Dip game to win shopping vouchers.
For tourists, the first 200 guests staying at Fahrenheit Suites and Chaos Hotel may redeem a tourist voucher at the concierge counter, ground floor and are limited to two redemptions per shopper per day, while stocks last.
