The Miss Saree Malaysia pageant unveiled 24 young, articulate ladies as the Miss Saree Malaysia Online Ambassador 2021.
They comprised 17 adult ambassadors and seven kid/teen ambassadors.
Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) founder and president Dr. Jason Hee said the 24 online ambassadors will work with the organization with the aims to promote Malaysian culture and unity, to be brand advocates, and to do something good through simple act of charity fundraising such as talent show.
“Company or sponsors could hire these online ambassadors to act as spokesperson to boost their brands through social media and online as well as influencer to spread positive messages and influence consumer sales,” said Hee, who is also founder of Miss Saree Malaysia, during the virtual final of Miss Saree Malaysia Online Ambassador Search 2021 on Nov 6.
The virtual event was held via Zoom and screened live on Miss Saree Malaysia-Original Facebook.
Miss Saree Malaysia 2021 national director Bkay Nair said she was thrilled to welcome the 24 ambassadors who have undergone profound changes after a two-full-day intensive workshop to learn specific skills as online ambassadors.
“To me, all of you are already title winners. Winners are people who never quit so you are already in this platform,” she said, in congratulating all the adult and kid/teen ambassadors.
Experienced leadership team and industry experts conducted the workshop consisting of multiple sessions focused on specific topics such as, among others, “The Power of Personal Branding”, “Introduction of Fashion Industry & Staying Safe in The World of Modelling” and “Winning Formula”.
The workshop also included a number of training sessions on, among others, saree draping and styling, make-up, catwalk and poses, and “8 best exercises on how to create the perfect hour glass figure for saree wear”.
Apart from the 25 winners, emcee Yamaayah Subadev also announced the Top 5 Best Ambassadors and subsidiary title award winners.
During the question-and-answer round, the Top 5 – Ghytri, Rekha, Shanti, Sharanjit and Yvonne responded to questions by a panel of judges and spoke with subtleties and eloquence. The judges deliberated and announced Rekha as the first place winner.
