MR. DOLLAR, a subsidiary of MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Bhd, announced the opening of its 50th store at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Selangor, bringing the total number of its stores in the country to 50.
In a statement, MR DIY vice president of marketing Andy Chin said MR. DOLLAR strives to reach more Malaysians to benefit from reasonably-priced household essentials available in the store.
“The whole aim of MR. DOLLAR is to make affordable food and beverage and household products more accessible to more people. By fixing prices at “Always RM2 or RM5”, we ensure people can shop confidently and within their means, while still being assured of the quality of the products they buy,” he said in announcing the new store opening.
The new store occupies an 8,000 sq ft area with over 12,000 choices of products displayed and promises a comfortable shopping environment for customers.
The dollar-store concept store offers a fixed price of RM 2 and RM 5 to a wide range of products across 10 categories — chocolates & sweets; snacks & biscuits; cooking ingredients; groceries; drinks; bakery products; chilled and frozen food; household; hardware; and stationery, toys and sports.
“The MR. DOLLAR brand name has resonated very well with Malaysians since the launch of our first store in Cheras in August 2020, and today, just a little over a year later, we are opening our 50th store.
