Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), through its MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation, brings Raya cheer to the underprivileged groups in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri amidst the pandemic challenges.

The MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation, currently led by foundation chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Cheng, contributed a total of RM10,000 in cash, groceries, electrical appliances and Raya green packet to Baitul Ulfah Centre, a welfare home for underprivileged children, in Seri Kembangan.

The charity program was carried out without physical visitation in compliance with the current Covid-19 standard operating standard (SOP).

The MRCA, through an extension of “A Good Deed A Week” charity campaign period, also distributed 195 Kotak Kebahagiaan food aid boxes worth RM19,795 to Women of Will (WOW), an NGO for disadvantaged women, belonging to single mothers, widows, abandoned or abused women and women with incapacitated husbands living in poverty.

The project was initiated by MRCA president Shirley Tay in collaboration with The Malaysia Business Group for the second year running to spread love and good cheer to the needy.

The Kotak Kebahagiaan food aid boxes contain food products ranging from beverage, biscuits, cookies, candies, snacks and cooking condiments.
