PR and communication agency iOli Communications Sdn Bhd has officially launched PRoject Good, a pro bono collective to do good for the community, following two years of ground-up collaboration and impact-driven work.

The launching event took place at Lisette’s Café & Bakery, Sunway 163 Mall, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur on February 10, 2026.

The initiative brings together communications, media and creative practitioners alongside like-minded partners to harness the power of impactful storytelling in amplifying the voices of NGOs and non-profit groups driving meaningful causes.

PRoject Good operates as a shared ecosystem rather than a one-size-fits-all programme, with contributors participating based on their strengths and availability to ensure the right expertise is matched to the needs of organisations.

To guide its work and ensure collective efforts are focused where storytelling can create meaningful value, PRoject Good uses the PRoject Good Impact Barometer – a framework that review and filter applications based on purpose, community relevance, readiness for amplification and potential for real-world impact.

The framework combines qualitative evaluation and guided criteria, allowing each project to be assessed thoughtfully rather than through rigid metrics.

A sharing session by representatives from OrphanCare Foundation on how PRoject Good’s pro bono PR support strengthened their visibility and fundraising outcomes through sustained media amplification and strategic support.

“PRoject Good was created to support organisations doing meaningful work that don’t always have the resources, access or clarity to tell their stories or know where to turn for help,” said Yan Lim, chief executive officer of iOli Communications and founder of PRoject Good.

“After more than 20 years in this industry, I’ve seen that many communications practitioners are willing to contribute their expertise, time and perspectives to help these organisations be seen, heard and understood which is what inspired the formation of this collective initiative,” she said.

Selected organisations receive pro bono PR and communications support focused on impactful storytelling, including media relations, general publicity, social campaign strategy and partnership outreach.

To date, PRoject Good has supported a range of initiatives, including autism awareness, flood relief efforts in Kelantan and festive aid initiatives for underprivileged families.

Among its current collaborations, PRoject Good is providing full-spectrum pro bono PR and communications support to OrphanCare, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families.

The collaboration covers strategic communications planning, media relations and purposeful storytelling to help OrphanCare elevate conversations around child welfare, adoption, family preservation and social stigma.

The collaboration has strengthened OrphanCare’s public visibility, deepened donor and stakeholder engagement, and supported ongoing fundraising and advocacy efforts.

OrphanCare advocacy, communications and fundraising manager Riza Alwi said the collective initiative has strengthened the organisation’s outreach efforts and enabled it to engage more meaningfully with the public and supporters.

“Working with PRoject Good has helped us articulate our mission more clearly and bring greater visibility to the issues affecting vulnerable children and families,” she said.

As PRoject Good continues to grow, the initiative is now calling for contributors, including PR and communications professionals, media practitioners, writers, creatives, influencers, brands and partners who are ready to lend their expertise for meaningful causes.

“Collaboration sits at the heart of PRoject Good,” Yan added. “This is about building a collective where people can apply what they do best, alongside like-minded individuals, to create impact together.”
