Sime Darby Property Bhd emerged as the top recipient at the CIDB 2025 Quest Awards, receiving five QLASSIC Excellence Awards and a Special Recognition (QLASSIC) Award for its long-standing commitment to quality construction.
The company’s consistent performance across 276 assessed projects since 2008 has set a benchmark for the industry, with recent scores consistently exceeding 80%.
The awards, conferred by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, were presented at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) as part of International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo 2025 from Oct 28 to 30, 2025 at Mitec.
The ceremony was officiated by Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan on Oct 30.

Ahmad commended the developer and its commitment to sustainability, stating: “Sime Darby Property’s journey exemplifies the spirit of QUEST – a commitment to doing things right the first time, every time. Their consistency and excellence set a benchmark for the entire industry.”
The CIDB 2025 Quest Awards recognised 262 winners across 132 projects, reflecting the board’s holistic approach to construction excellence through its core assessment frameworks.
Awards were presented based on five key CIDB’s core assessment frameworks: QLASSIC (Quality Assessment System in Construction), SHASSIC (Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction), MYCREST (Malaysian Carbon Reduction and Environmental Sustainability Tool), Sustainable INFRASTAR and Special Recognition Awards.
These awards reflect CIDB’s holistic approach to construction excellence, encompassing quality, safety, sustainability and innovation.
In his keynote address, Datuk Seri Ahmad praised the industry’s progress and urged more players to adopt CIDB’s assessment tools.
“The achievements we celebrate today go beyond individual accolades; they represent Malaysia’s collective progress towards a safer, greener, and more resilient construction industry.
“Every innovation and milestone reached brings us closer to realising the aspirations of the 13th Malaysia Plan and the nation’s infrastructure goals,” he said.
The Quest Awards continue to serve as a catalyst for industry transformation, aligning with CIDB’s Construction 4.0 vision and national development priorities. The event brought together government officials, developers, contractors, consultants and regulators for a day of celebration and knowledge exchange.
