Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 at Resorts World Genting

The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Oct 6 this year, is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night.

Resorts World Genting is set to shine brighter this season as it brings the Mid-Autumn Festival to life from Sept 22 to Oct 6, 2025.

The highlands has been transformed into a glowing wonderland of lanterns, entertainment and feasts, bringing families and friends to celebrate under the luminous glow of the full moon.

From 11am daily, the festive atmosphere stretches into the night, with celebrations running until midnight. Visitors can soak up the festive atmosphere while walking along Gohtong Way to the Central Park Gardens, where dazzling decorations capture the spirit of the seasons.

Food lovers are in for a treat too, with everything from fire-kissed delights at Fire Pit and hearty Italian classics at Trattoria Il Lago to bubbling hotpot at Genting Secret Garden, a favourite for gathering and sharing under the cool highland skies.

The festivities build momentum as the festival weekend approaches. From Oct 3 to 5, the resort comes alive each evening with roaming stilt walkers, playful clown buskers and soulful singing acts.

Beloved Mid-Autumn icons, including the Moon Bunnies, Chang’e and Hou Yi, will also make enchanting appearances for meet-and-greet sessions.

As night falls, guests can enjoy lantern parades that illuminate the resort with glowing processions, a beautiful symbol of reunion and harmony.

The nights will sparkle even further with DJ sets, street performances and lake stage shows, bringing both tradition and modern festivity together in one unforgettable celebration.

Adding excitement is the lantern giveaway during the last four days from Oct 3 to 6. Starting at 7pm daily, attendees can redeem one lantern by following Resorts World Genting on Instagram, Facebook, or Tiktok, and sharing their Gohtong Way photo on their story with the official tags and hashtags #RWGMidAutumn and #RWGGohtongWay.
